The allergens for our pre-order products are detailed on each product listing but please be aware that we work in a kitchen that handles gluten / egg / milk / soya / nuts / peanuts / sesame / celery / mustard / sulphur dioxide daily so cannot guarantee the absence of these allergens in our products.
Collections on Tuesday 24th Dec are between 10:30am and 11:30am from both our Southside and West End shops.
Please make sure you select the correct shop in the checkout!
We're afraid not - our shops will only be open for an hour between 10:30-11:30am on Tuesday 24th Dec and for collection of preordered cakes, tarts and bread.
Both shops will be open Weds 18th Dec to Mon 23rd Dec and fully stocked with bread and pastries for you to buy for the festive period.
Yes - we will be offering local deliveries for whole cakes/tarts and bread on Monday 23rd Dec.
Deliveries will be made between 11am-5pm - if you know you will be out please leave a safe place for us to put your order, and let us know where that will be by leaving a delivery note at the checkout.
We will be unable to return to your address if we are unable to deliver your order and your order will be returned to one of our shops for you to collect.
Yes! For the first time we'll be offering collections for whole cakes, tarts and bread on Monday 30th December - these preorders are now open! They'll close on Monday 23rd Dec at 6pm or earlier if sold out.
We were hoping to but unfortunately this year we aren't able to offer delivery on our New Year preorders - collection from either shop is available on Monday 30th Dec between 11am-3pm
Our shops will be open for general sale, without the need for a preorder on: Open Weds 18th - Mon 23rd Closed Weds 24th - Sat 28th Dec Open Sun 29th - Mon 30th Closed Tues 31st Dec - Fri 3rd Jan Open as normal Sat 4th Jan
Yes - this is the best part! Each of the products can be revitalised beautifully in the oven - so we recommend looking at the product pages for instructions on how to crisp it up.
Most products can be frozen. -again, check individual product pages for instructions.
Absolutely! If it's a smallish order and you're happy with Friday delivery please go ahead and order via the website. We can possibly deliver to offices on other days and can take on larger orders - please contact us at hello@bigbearbakery.com to arrange this.

All our pastries crisp back up perfectly in the oven and the majority of them freeze and reheat really well too.
Almond Croissants / Nutella Cookie Dough Croissants / Croissant Knots / Bostock:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 6-8 mins at 160C (fan)
Croissants:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 4-5mins at 160C (fan).
Pastel de Nata:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 6-8 minutes at 200C (fan)
Danish:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 7-8 mins at 160C (fan). We do not recommend freezing this product
Cinnamon buns:
Reheat for 45secs in the microwave or 2-3mins at 160C (fan)
Sourdough bread:
Freezing instructions: slice before freezing and toast from frozen.
Brookies are best served from fridge.
Freezing instructions: freeze on day of purchase, remove from freezer + transfer to fridge on day you’d like to eat - allow a couple of hours to defrost
General freezing instructions: if freezing, freeze on day of purchase then remove from freezer to thaw the evening before you’d like to eat and follow instructions above for reheating.
